[00:00:00] Foreign.
[00:00:11] What's worthwhile healing Mind, body and spirit. I'm Ramsey Zimmerman. I choose peace of mind, vitality of body, and joy of spirit over stress, exhaustion, or overwhelm. Together, let's explore and pursue the many ways to build holistic health and wellness.
[00:00:31] Hey there. It's Ramsay here.
[00:00:33] You've heard the line. You can't handle the truth. Well, I'm looking for a few good men. Okay, maybe a few good and tired men who can handle the truth.
[00:00:44] The truth of the way we've been living, pushing harder, sleeping less, eating worse, ignoring our body's warning signs is catching up with us.
[00:00:53] The truth that burnout doesn't flare up out of nowhere, but starts with a slow burn.
[00:00:59] I'm looking for a few good and tired men to go first and be the ones to test the new program I'm building to help men turn their lives around before burnout makes them lose it all.
[00:01:11] Are you one of those men? Or do you care about someone who might be?
[00:01:20] We all have a bunch of important things going on at once as we strive for success in our profession, professional and family lives.
[00:01:27] For a while. It's exciting and invigorating, and we run hard.
[00:01:32] But at some point, it gets tougher, more complicated. Either too intense or too boring and repetitive. And we get tired, we get disillusioned, we start to get burned out.
[00:01:44] And we cope as best as we can.
[00:01:47] Maybe we've got healthy coping mechanisms, and maybe we don't.
[00:01:52] Meanwhile, you tell yourself, it's fine, I'm fine. I've handled worse.
[00:01:57] I just need to push through. But slowly the light starts to dim, the body starts to ache. You lose a little edge, a little sharpness. Maybe your workouts get shorter or disappear altogether.
[00:02:11] Maybe you stop talking to old friends.
[00:02:14] Maybe you stop talking to your wife.
[00:02:17] Maybe you stop dreaming.
[00:02:19] Here's the risk.
[00:02:21] At some point, you won't really care anymore. That's the real danger of burnout. Not the exhaustion. It's the indifference.
[00:02:30] It's the danger that at some point, what really matters most to you might feel like background noise.
[00:02:37] And when you hit that wall, what happens then?
[00:02:40] Here's the truth. When you stop caring, you're toast.
[00:02:44] That because caring is what makes you who you really are. It's why you go to work, why you show up for your family, why you fight for what's right. Burnout steals all that.
[00:02:56] It doesn't take your strength all at once. It takes your reasons. Slowly, one at a time.
[00:03:02] And that's why I'm trying to do something about it. I'm building a new program called Better Before Burnout.
[00:03:09] It's going to be a 12 week guided experience for men who decide to rebuild their strength, clarity and purpose before burnout takes them down.
[00:03:20] The program is built around five core foundations of health, whole food, nutrition, effective digestion, blood sugar, balance, quality sleep and mastering your stress response.
[00:03:31] When those five things start breaking down, burnout can take hold. But when you rebuild them, when you eat real food, move with purpose, breathe deeply, sleep well and respond well to stress, your body comes back online.
[00:03:47] The 12 week Better Before Burnout journey will feature three core components, Daily messages, nutrition and lifestyle coaching and building brotherhood with peers.
[00:03:58] First, the messages.
[00:04:00] Five days per week you'll get a short, focused audio message like the one you're listening to now. You can listen to it while you're driving, shaving, walking or having your morning coffee or each one helps you observe and consider what you're experiencing, what your body's trying to tell you, and what you can do within your mind, body and spirit in order to shift back towards strength and vitality.
[00:04:25] Second, the coaching. You and I will work one on one to observe your current eating and lifestyle habits, evaluate your situation, think it through and come up with strategies based on the five foundations that you can implement and refine your strategies based on how they go.
[00:04:42] It's about clarity, trying new approaches and following through.
[00:04:47] And third, the brotherhood. We'll be building a group of men walking along the same path, a bunch of good but tired men who are done going it alone.
[00:04:58] We'll meet, talk and share what's working, what's hard and what's changing. It's a safe space for honesty, encouragement and strength because we're built to help others and it really is better to give than receive.
[00:05:13] So yeah, I'm looking for a few good but tired men to go. First.
[00:05:18] I'm opening up a small group to test the 12 week better before Burnout journey.
[00:05:23] You'll be the first to experience the messages, the coaching and the brotherhood.
[00:05:28] Your experience will help me shape the program, improve it and get it ready for primetime.
[00:05:34] In terms of price, I'm asking for only a fraction of what the regular cost will be, but I am looking for serious commitment.
[00:05:43] Basically, I'm looking for early adopters, men who are ready to face the truth about where they are, commit the time and energy to change it, and help build something that will serve countless others. After them, you'll be asked to share your honest opinions with me as we go along, and to share your reflections at the end so that other men can see what's possible.
[00:06:06] Look, I know what all this feels like. I've lived it. The wrench in your gut that never releases. The short fuse that catches you off guard. The fear that you've already peaked in life. The way you start to accept that you're now somehow a lesser version of yourself, A version that's happy just getting through the day, but that isn't who you really are.
[00:06:30] You were built for more than survival. You were built for vitality.
[00:06:35] And you can get there again.
[00:06:37] Not by chasing some perfect morning routine or punishing gym habit, not by numbing out or escaping, but by doing the small, essential things that bring you back to life.
[00:06:49] Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. If this message resonates with you, if you hear a little voice saying, yeah, I think I should do this, then please reach out.
[00:07:01] None of us can do everything on our own.
[00:07:04] I can't build an awesome program in a vacuum without input from real people.
[00:07:09] You can't go on fighting the good fight forever, knowing that you're not doing the right things to take care of yourself for the long term. Victory.
[00:07:17] We all want to do great things for ourselves, but more importantly, for those we love and those who count on us.
[00:07:25] I am looking for a few good men.
[00:07:28] Maybe a little tired, but nowhere near ready to quit.
[00:07:32] And for today, that is enough.
