[00:00:11] Speaker A: What's worthwhile, worthy of our time, energy, belief and action? I'm Ramsey Zimmerman. To me, it's building mind, body and spirit wellness towards peace of mind, vitality of body, and joy of spirit. Let's pursue these topics together to find.
[00:00:26] Speaker B: Holistic health and wellness.
Hey there, it's Ramsey here.
I've been struggling a bit the last couple of weeks thinking about what to say. I want to say more. I want to release something like this every week, in fact. But that raised some important questions. What should I speak about? What should I offer? What would you like to hear from me? What do you want in general? In fact, who are you? Look, podcasting is kind of a strange thing. Here I am speaking into a microphone, speaking to you.
You know, I am speaking to you because you are listening. But I am doing this speaking based on faith. Faith that you are there, Faith that you are listening. And if that is what it requires from me, faith, then I need to really lean on my faith for inspiration, guidance and direction. Happily. I had a really great conversation with God this morning about me and you. Sorry, we were talking about you behind your back and everything, but I didn't mean to be rude. I asked God what he wanted me to do and talk about. He gave me the same answer that he always love.
Go online and find the people that I want you to love.
This has been the clear directive God has given me the whole time with this podcast. It is the core of what's worthwhile love.
So here's what I have for you. Love.
Love is the greatest power and energy in the universe. All things can be accomplished, cured, redeemed, and restored through and by love. That is not to say that they will be, but rather that they can be. That they may be. Love is the source of hope and goodness.
Love empowers and enables us to keep going, to reach out, to smile, to keep walking uphill. Love enables us to look past our own shortcomings and those of others.
Love allows us to understand that no one is perfect, no one has all the answers, and that we are not perfect either.
Love empowers us to work with what we have and to accept the efforts of others wholeheartedly. Now I know that there is a lot wrong with the world. There always has been. Today is no exception. I have a lot of opinions and beliefs about the details of what those things are. I bet you do too. We may agree or we may not. That is okay. Can we agree to try, agree to seek the truth even, and especially when it is difficult, complicated or not what we expected.
I pledge to do that. I invite you to do that with me. Here is what I have for you. A heart to share. I will share what I have learned and what I continue to learn about finding peace of mind, vitality of body and joy of spirit. It may or may not be new or novel, brilliant or revolutionary, but it will be honest and true to the best of my knowledge and well intentioned. There are some things I do not want to do. I do not want to lecture you. Maybe this already feels like a lecture. Please know that this is me sharing. This is what it sounds like for me to share. I am not telling you what you should do. I am offering my thoughts about what you could do. I hope that difference is clear. I also do not want to report the weather. I mean I do not want to read words off of a teleprompter for the sake of saying them out loud. I do not want to echo back a report of what already happened and I do not want to make predictions. You did not come here to hear a weather report which you can find yourself and there are far more attractive people than me to report it to you. Anyways. What I do want is to share. To tell you I love you and that God loves you. I want to share wisdom and insights as they come to me and as I am inspired to do so. I have to say it terrifies me to do this. I have a deep seated belief that no one cares what I think. But I feel called to share and I want to. I really do. Here is the other thing I want to hear back from you. No pressure, just an invitation. Maybe we already know each other. Maybe we have not met yet. I want to hear how you are doing, what you think, how you have grown and changed, why you are still angry or disappointed, where you have a spark of hope and faith that can be kindled by love into a beautiful new flame. That is a lot. I know. I feel it. The world today is in the midst of a turning point and with great change comes great opportunity. Over the coming weeks I am going to try to share more, but for today that is enough.
